Spot the gap. Catch the listing.

Price charts tell you where a card has been. Price Signal tells you what it looks worth. Pair that with live eBay listings and you can catch deals before the market notices, sometimes before breakfast is over.

What the scanner caught this morning

While the market print sat in the mid-$170s, active eBay listings for the same card were already showing in the $134-$144 range, several tagged at market versus our signal, with offers open on most of them.

That is the workflow in one screenshot: fair value as the benchmark, live listings as the inventory, and a quick read on which asks look interesting before they disappear.

By publish time, most of these were gone

Speed matters. By the time this article went live, most of those morning listings had already sold. One of the asks we flagged, Mega Feraligatr ex 274/217 from Me: Ascended Heroes, closed at $140 on July 22 at 4:38 PM.

That is still ~$34 under the market print and in the neighborhood of our fair-value estimate. The scanner's job is to surface that window while it is still open.

How to use this yourself

  1. Open a covered card and check fair value vs. market price. A wide gap means listings near the estimate deserve attention.
  2. Scan active eBay listings on the same page. Compare ask + shipping to the signal, not just to the last market print. Good Buy badges make that comparison automatic.
  3. Move fast when something looks clean: condition, set, and card number still matter. A cheap listing for the wrong variant is not an opportunity.
  4. Treat every deal as one input, not a guarantee. Liquidity, fees, and your own thesis still decide whether you click Buy.
