1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how CardSignals ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our websites and related services (together, the "Service"). We respect your privacy and aim to handle personal data responsibly.
CardSignals provides informational market data only. It does not constitute financial, investment, or trading advice. Past price performance does not guarantee future results.
2. Information We Collect
We collect several categories of information, including:
2.1 Personal Data
Personal data identifies or relates to you as an individual. We may collect:
- Contact and profile details you provide (such as email, display name, and optional profile fields available in account settings).
- Account credentials and security information managed by our authentication provider (for example hashed passwords or OAuth tokens when you sign in with Google).
- Watchlist entries and similar preferences you save while signed in.
- Messages you send to us (for example support requests).
2.2 Usage Data
We automatically collect certain technical information when you use the Service, such as IP address, browser type, date and time of access, pages or features used, referring site or app, and device type or operating system when available from standard web logs or analytics tools we enable.
2.3 Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, protect the Service, remember preferences, and understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work if you disable essential cookies.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
- Create and manage your account and authentication.
- Store and sync features such as your watchlist.
- Monitor performance, diagnose errors, detect abuse, and protect security.
- Communicate with you about the Service, including technical notices or responses to your inquiries.
- Comply with legal obligations.
- Carry out other purposes we describe at the time of collection.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on bases such as: your consent (where we ask for it); performance of a contract (providing the Service you request); legitimate interests (for example securing the Service and improving features), balanced against your rights; and legal obligations.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We may share information with:
- Service providers who assist us (such as hosting, authentication, and database providers). They may process data only under our instructions and appropriate safeguards.
- Professional advisers or authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the Service.
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy or equivalent protections.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data Security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. No online service can guarantee perfect security; you use the Service at your own risk to that extent.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, and considering the sensitivity of data and risk of harm from misuse.
8. Your Data Protection Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 13. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
9. Data Deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all associated personal data at any time directly from your Profile page. Deletion removes your profile, watchlist, and all trade journal entries immediately and is irreversible. Your Stripe billing history may be retained for legal and accounting purposes but is no longer linked to your account.
If you are unable to access your account and need assistance with deletion, contact us at support@cardsignals.trade. We may retain certain records where required to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. International Data Transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live, including where our service providers operate. When we transfer personal data internationally, we use safeguards consistent with applicable law (such as contractual clauses where required).
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate.
